Swiggy reported over 2.18 lakh biryani orders before 7:30 pm, with demand peaking at 1,336 orders per minute. Individual orders included large quantities of food, and desserts like rasmalai and gulab jamun were also popular later in the night. Emerging cities also showed significant growth in food delivery and restaurant bookings.
