
A division bench of the High Court ordered the release and repatriation of a Bangladeshi man who has been in custody for over 21 years since his arrest as a minor in 2005. An ossification test confirmed he was a juvenile at the time of arrest. The court also ordered the release of another man detained for over 14 years, noting that under the Juvenile Justice Act, juveniles cannot be sentenced beyond seven years.
