The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has lodged a complaint with the Maharashtra State Election Commission (SEC) against BJP MLA Rahul Narwekar. AAP alleges Narwekar misused election machinery in Colaba to prevent AAP candidate Margaret Da Costa from filing her nomination. The SEC has requested a report from BMC commissioner Bhushan Gagrani regarding the complaint. AAP claims the Returning Officer acted illegally at Narwekar's behest, preventing Da Costa, a senior citizen from the minority community, from submitting her nomination despite meeting the deadline.
