Indian Railways has introduced local vegetarian cuisines on six pairs of Vande Bharat trains as part of its '52 reforms in 52 weeks' initiative announced by Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The menu varies by route and direction, featuring regional dishes such as Kashmiri specialties on the Katra-Srinagar route and Bengali food on the upcoming Howrah-Guwahati sleeper train. This pilot project aims to promote regional flavors nationally and will expand across the railway network.
