Madhya Pradesh Raises Wheat Procurement Price with Rs 40 Bonus, Extends Registration Deadline

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that wheat will be procured at Rs 2,625 per quintal, including a Rs 40 bonus over the existing MSP of Rs 2,585. The government extended the registration deadline for wheat procurement to March 10 and plans to provide daytime electricity for irrigation to ease farmers' difficulties. Additionally, a Rs 600 bonus on urad crop was declared, with a target to raise wheat procurement prices to Rs 2,700 by 2028. The government emphasized ongoing efforts for farmer welfare.
