India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued show-cause notices to Air India pilots concerning safety lapses on flights AI-357 and AI-358 between Delhi and Tokyo. The notices cite issues including repeated technical snags, a smell of smoke near a door, non-compliance with Minimum Equipment List (MEL) limitations, and inadequate assessment of system degradations. Pilots are required to respond within 14 days regarding why action should not be taken against them.
