The Delhi Cabinet approved the Carbon Credit Monetisation Framework, enabling the government to generate revenue by selling carbon credits from its green initiatives such as electric buses, plantation drives, solar energy promotion, and waste management. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta emphasized that this policy supports environmental conservation and will deposit proceeds into the state's Consolidated Fund for public welfare.
