The Kerala government has sanctioned an additional ₹93.72 crore in financial aid to the KSRTC. Of this, ₹73.72 crore is for pension payments and ₹20 crore for operational needs. This brings the total government assistance to KSRTC in the current financial year to ₹1,201.56 crore. The state has provided significant financial support to the transport corporation under the current and previous LDF governments, totaling over ₹13,000 crore.
