India to Host Inaugural Global Conference on Democracy and Election Management

The Election Commission of India will host the inaugural India International Conference on Democracy and Election Management (IICDEM) 2026 from January 21 to 23 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Nearly 100 delegates from over 70 countries, including international organizations and experts, will participate. Organized by the India International Institute of Democracy Election Management, the conference will feature plenary and thematic sessions on global electoral challenges, standards, and innovations. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and other commissioners will inaugurate the event, which includes bilateral meetings to enhance international electoral cooperation.
