A Delhi court discharged former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, and 21 others in the alleged excise policy corruption case, citing lack of evidence and several lacunae in the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) chargesheet. The court found no criminal conspiracy or intent, sharply criticized the CBI's investigation, and refused to take cognisance of the chargesheet. Kejriwal and Sisodia expressed relief, with Kejriwal calling the case a political conspiracy. The CBI plans to challenge the verdict in the Delhi High Court.
