In the Thane-Palghar District Central Cooperative Bank elections, the Sahakar Panel, backed by Bahujan Vikas Aghadi (BVA) chief Hitendra Thakur and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, won a majority with 16 of 21 seats. The rival Parivartan Mahayuti panel, supported by BJP and including a rebel candidate from Thakur's family, secured five seats. The election highlighted internal family conflict and shifting political alliances within the region's cooperative banking sector.
