
The Public Works Department (PWD) will assume maintenance responsibility for Delhi's Signature Bridge from the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC). The PWD plans to invest ₹1.5 crore in enhanced security measures, including 24/7 guards and armed personnel, to address issues like theft of bridge components, stunts, and poor sanitation. DTTDC, which built the bridge for over ₹1,500 crore, cited funding challenges for maintenance after the initial three-year period.
