NDMC Orders Palika Dham Residents to Vacate Unsafe Quarters by March 7, 2025

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has declared the Palika Dham Complex's Type-I quarters in central Delhi structurally unsafe and ordered residents to vacate by March 7, 2025. Despite multiple warnings since July 2025, around 40 families remain hesitant to leave. The NDMC cited the building's dilapidated condition to prevent accidents, while the local residents' association has expressed concerns over demolition instead of repairs, noting the complex's age and condition.
