Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has directed officials to prepare for an estimated one lakh vehicles daily on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway during Sankranti. He plans to request the Union government for freeway access at toll plazas to prevent traffic jams and ensure a hassle-free journey for travelers, including devotees attending the Medaram Jathara festival. The state government is prepared to cover toll costs if necessary.
