Delhi Releases Draft Bed and Breakfast Policy with Room Limits and Safety Standards
The Delhi government has released a draft Bed and Breakfast (B B) Policy, 2026, to regulate small-scale accommodations with a limit of eight rooms and sixteen beds per unit. The policy introduces 'Gold' and 'Silver' categories based on room size, amenities, sanitation, and safety standards. Mandatory safety measures include CCTV cameras at entrances and common areas, police verification, fire extinguishers, and first-aid kits. The draft is open for public feedback for 30 days and excludes hotels, guest houses, and commercial hospitality facilities.
