Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that India has achieved a 97% reduction in malaria cases, projecting the country will soon be malaria-free. Speaking at the IMA NATCON 2025 conference, he attributed this progress to healthcare initiatives like Ayushman Bharat and Mission Indradhanush, alongside increased health budget allocations. Shah also highlighted reductions in dengue mortality, maternal mortality, and infant mortality, emphasizing effective scheme implementation and the need for a healthy demography for national development goals.
