Judge Rules IRS Disclosed Taxpayer Information to ICE in Violation of Law

This finding was based on a declaration by IRS official Dottie Romo, revealing that the IRS shared data on 47,000 individuals out of 1.28 million ICE requests, often providing additional address details beyond legal allowances. The government is appealing the decision, which highlights concerns over privacy protections in interagency data sharing.
