
Ukraine's Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal reported that the country has fuel reserves sufficient for over 20 days amid ongoing Russian drone and missile attacks targeting all power plants. The energy situation is particularly severe in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Odesa, and frontline towns, where many homes face prolonged electricity and heating outages in subzero temperatures. Shmyhal, recently appointed, highlighted stalled winter preparations and announced emergency electricity imports and plans to expand generation capacity by 2026.
