Delhi Approves 4,002 New Medical Posts to Support Expanded Hospital Capacity

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has approved 4,002 new posts for doctors and medical staff across four government hospitals to support 1,515 newly added beds. The posts include various medical and administrative roles, with 3,031 permanent and 971 outsourced positions. This staffing increase aims to improve patient care, reduce workload, and ease pressure on major hospitals by enabling full utilization of expanded infrastructure at Guru Gobind Singh, Ambedkar Nagar, Sant Durbal Nath Ji Trauma Centre, and Shri Dada Dev Maitri Avum Shishu Chikitsalaya hospitals.
