Uttar Pradesh's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has received over 70.69 lakh Form 6 applications for inclusion and 2.68 lakh Form 7 requests for deletion between January 6 and March 6, 2026, according to Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa. Women submitted slightly more inclusion claims than men. Since October 27, 2025, a total of 86.69 lakh inclusion and 3.18 lakh deletion applications have been received. The draft electoral roll published on January 6 lists 12.55 crore voters, with verification notices issued to 3.26 crore voters. Hearings covering about 85.8% of cases are ongoing, expected to conclude by March 27.
