Uttar Pradesh Revises Electoral Rolls with Over 86 Million Inclusion Claims

Uttar Pradesh's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has received over 86.69 million Form 6 applications for inclusion and 3.18 million Form 7 requests for deletion since October 27, 2025. Between January 6 and March 6, more than 70.69 million inclusion claims and 2.68 million deletion objections were filed. The draft roll includes 125.5 million voters. Hearings for 85.8% of cases are complete, with deletions mainly due to migration, death, or self-request. The process is expected to finish by March 27, 2026.
