Bihar Officials Directed to Strengthen Security Ahead of Holi Festival

Ahead of Holi celebrations on March 3-4, Bihar Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit directed officials to enhance security measures to ensure peaceful festivities. A high-level review meeting with district magistrates and police officials emphasized vigilance following nearly 20 communal incidents last year. Authorities mandated peace committee meetings to foster community dialogue, intensified police presence in sensitive areas, and readiness of riot control and emergency response teams to promptly address any disturbances.
