Six of Seven Gujarat Public Service Commission Member Posts Vacant, Recruitment Plans Underway

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel informed the legislative assembly that six of the seven Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) member posts are vacant, some for over four years, due to administrative reasons. The state government plans to fill over 210,000 vacant posts through direct recruitment over the next decade. Recent recruitment efforts include examinations for 240 Class-1 and Class-2 posts, with results pending, and over 30,000 appointment letters issued last year. A 10-year recruitment calendar has been published to ensure transparency.
