The UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) reported that gunfire from an Israeli position struck near its peacekeepers twice on Friday in south Lebanon. While no casualties were reported, UNIFIL described the incidents as a "concerning trend" and a serious violation of UN Security Council resolutions. UNIFIL stated that peacekeepers were patrolling in advance of their activities and requested the Israeli army to cease aggressive behavior near personnel working for peace and stability.
