Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that chemical fertilizers are the primary cause of many diseases and advocated for natural farming. Speaking at a Farmers' Conference, he highlighted that natural farming increases farmer income, conserves water, and improves public health. Shah mentioned that approximately 40 lakh farmers have adopted natural farming and that the government is developing a comprehensive system for certification and global market access for natural produce.
