BJP Fields Suvendu Adhikari From Bhabanipur and Nandigram in West Bengal Polls

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its first list of 144 candidates for the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections, fielding Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari from both Bhabanipur and Nandigram constituencies. Bhabanipur is currently held by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while Adhikari defeated her in Nandigram in 2021. The elections will be held in two phases on April 23 and 29, with results announced on May 4.
