The Public Works Department has proposed an 81.41-kilometer Aligarh-Sambhal state highway in western Uttar Pradesh. This project aims to shorten travel times between key towns like Aligarh, Hathras, and Sambhal by converting existing district roads into a 10-meter wide highway. The new route is expected to reduce congestion within Aligarh city by diverting traffic from National Highway 509 to National Highway 32. Land acquisition will be necessary for widening and realignment in certain areas.
