Security has been heightened in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, with the deployment of police, Rapid Response Force, and PAC ahead of an anti-encroachment drive near the Shahi Jama Masjid cemetery. Officials stated the drive aims to clear illegal encroachments. A flag march was also conducted, which officials described as a regular administrative process to instill public confidence. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath previously reviewed development works and law-and-order in Sambhal, directing phased development with a focus on restoring pilgrimage sites and wells.
