
Amid escalating tensions and flight cancellations in the Middle East following military strikes, India has advised foreign nationals stranded in the country to contact their nearest Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) for visa extensions or to regularise their stay. The Ministry of External Affairs and Civil Aviation are coordinating to assist affected travellers, with Indian airlines cancelling hundreds of international flights due to airspace restrictions. Similarly, Sri Lanka has granted a free seven-day visa extension to stranded foreign nationals to address travel disruptions.
