A Delhi government report indicates that subsidies for electricity, water, and free/concessional bus travel for women constitute approximately 35% of the budgetary expenditure. Revenue receipts are projected to increase by 43.57% from Rs 56,798 crore in 2023-24 to Rs 81,546 crore in 2025-26. The total outlay is expected to reach Rs 1 lakh crore in 2025-26, with about 95% of spending allocated to current transfers, including these subsidies.
