U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the United States and China have reached a level of strategic stability ahead of President Donald Trump's visit to China from March 31 to April 2. Rubio emphasized that both countries recognize the harm of a full-scale trade war and highlighted ongoing U.S. efforts to address supply chain diversification and to encourage China to join a nuclear arms control agreement with the U.S. and Russia. Despite China's growing nuclear arsenal, it remains smaller than those of the U.S. and Russia. Rubio, known for his critical stance on China, indicated he may accompany Trump on the trip.
