
Soumen Sen, currently Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court, has been appointed as the new Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court. The Union government issued the appointment order on Thursday. Justice Sen, who enrolled as an advocate in 1991 and practiced in the Calcutta High Court for two decades, was elevated to the bench in 2011 and became Chief Justice of Meghalaya in September 2025. He will succeed Nithin Jamdar, who is set to retire on January 9.
