The Punjab government has launched a new campaign, "Sade Buzurg Sada Maan," aimed at ensuring the dignity, safety, and welfare of senior citizens. The initiative, beginning January 16, will include district-wise events offering free medical camps, assistance with pension and health cards, and legal awareness. The government plans to allocate approximately Rs 24 crore for welfare, healthcare, and awareness programs, with specific grants for old-age homes and daycare centers. A new 72-bed old age home in Mansa district is also set to be inaugurated.
