Telangana Speaker Dismisses Disqualification Petitions Against Two BRS MLAs

Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar dismissed disqualification petitions against two BRS MLAs, Kale Yadaiah and Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, ruling there is no evidence of defection to Congress. Earlier, petitions against five other MLAs were also dismissed. Petitions against three MLAs remain pending, while the Speaker faces a Supreme Court contempt notice for delays in deciding on these cases involving MLAs who allegedly switched parties after the 2023 elections.
