The Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) organized protests across 18 districts, burning effigies of the Central Government to oppose the alleged scrapping of the MGNREGA Act and the introduction of the new VB-G RAM G Act. Protesters claim the new law will reduce employment opportunities and weaken workers' rights, removing the right to demand work through village panchayats. They demand the restoration of the old MGNREGA law, full central funding, and oppose new labor codes, which they allege favor corporations.
