
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and other officials attended the installation of a 33-foot tall Shiva Lingam at the under-construction Virat Ramayana Temple in East Champaran. Crafted from a single rock in Tamil Nadu, the 210-tonne Lingam is considered the world's largest and comprises 1,008 smaller Lingams. The temple complex will feature multiple towers and temples, with completion targeted by 2030. The event included traditional rituals and drew devotees from diverse communities, highlighting local support for the project.
