Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced an additional $2.5 billion in aid for Ukraine, aimed at unlocking further international financing, including from the IMF. The package includes loan guarantees for the World Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and support for IMF lending. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who met Carney, also briefed him on diplomatic efforts with the US to end the war and plans to present a 20-point peace proposal to President Trump. This aid follows a recent Russian attack on Kyiv and claims of battlefield gains by Moscow.
