BSP Begins Early Preparations for 2027 UP Elections with Focus on Brahmin Outreach

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), led by Mayawati, has begun early preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, focusing on rebuilding its social coalition by emphasizing Brahmin outreach alongside Muslim and Dalit representation. The party has appointed Brahmin leaders as assembly incharges and announced four candidates, including two Brahmins and two Muslims, aiming to revive the 2007 social engineering formula. BSP plans to finalize over 100 candidates by early 2026, targeting constituencies with narrow past losses to strengthen grassroots support.
