Ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati is reviving the 2007 social engineering strategy by appointing Brahmin leaders Ashish Pandey and Vinod Kumar Mishra as incharges of key assembly seats. The BSP aims to rebuild its Brahmin-Dalit alliance, addressing perceived neglect of Brahmins under the BJP. The party plans to field Brahmin candidates in about 80 constituencies, promoting the slogan 'Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukhay' to regain electoral ground.
