Indian Navy's INS Sudarshini Begins Ten-Month Transoceanic Expedition

The Indian Navy's sail training ship INS Sudarshini has embarked on a ten-month transoceanic expedition, covering approximately 22,000 nautical miles and visiting 18 ports across 13 countries. Flagged off from Kochi by Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena, the voyage, named Lokayan 26, aims to showcase India's maritime presence and foster international friendship. Highlights include participation in France's Escale à Sète maritime festival and the USA's Sail 250 flotilla in New York for the 250th Independence Day celebrations. Built indigenously, INS Sudarshini serves as a training platform and a symbol of India's maritime ambitions.
