Shimla Administration Plans Transport City Near Mehli to Ease Traffic Congestion
To reduce traffic congestion in Shimla, the administration plans to establish a transport city outside the city near Mehli. Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap announced that major markets including Sabzi Mandi, Anaj Mandi, and Lakkar Mandi will be relocated to this 300-bigha site adjacent to the under-construction Mehli-Shoghi four-lane road. Officials from multiple departments conducted a joint inspection, aiming to improve traffic flow and transportation facilities in the area.
