Punjab Launches Rs 400 Crore School Digitalisation Project Amid TET Protest Review

Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains announced a Rs 400 crore digitalisation project under the Punjab Sikhya Kranti to equip over 5,000 government schools with new computers, interactive flat panels, and dedicated computer labs, aiming to modernize classrooms and enhance digital literacy. Concurrently, the Punjab government is exploring legal options, including a Supreme Court review petition, to address teachers' protests against the mandatory Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) ruling, which requires all serving teachers to qualify for promotions by August 2027.
