Pakistan Navy Escorts Oil-Carrying Vessels from UAE to Karachi Amid Gulf Conflict

Pakistan Navy escorted two merchant vessels carrying 100 to 120 million litres of oil from Fujirah, UAE, to Karachi amid the ongoing Iran-US-Israel conflict disrupting Strait of Hormuz traffic. Named Operation Muhafiz-ul-Bahr, the naval escort aims to protect Pakistan's maritime trade and energy routes amid regional volatility. Maritime Minister Junaid Anwar clarified escorts do not extend through the Strait. Pakistan faces a fuel crisis and has raised petrol prices, with another hike expected soon.
