
In Madhya Pradesh's Balaghat district, once a Naxal stronghold, surrendered Naxalites are undergoing rehabilitation through training in sewing, driving, and operating machinery to reintegrate into society and become self-reliant. The state was declared free of Naxalism in December 2023, with the Centre aiming to eradicate the movement nationwide by March 2026. Additionally, police jobs have been offered to families of 14 individuals killed by Naxalites on suspicion of being informers, supporting their social and economic recovery.
