Two Indian sailors, Captain Ashish Kumar from Bihar and crew member Dalip Singh from Rajasthan, died after the Palau-flagged oil tanker Skylight was struck by an Iranian missile on March 1 near Oman's Musandam Peninsula in the Strait of Hormuz. The tanker, carrying 15 Indian and 5 Iranian crew members, was attacked amid escalating US-Israel-Iran tensions. While most crew were evacuated, Kumar's remains were recovered and Singh remains missing. The Skylight was reportedly involved in transporting Iranian oil under US sanctions.
