Bollywood Celebrities Vote in Maharashtra BMC Elections Amid Moderate Turnout

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections 2026 saw widespread participation from Bollywood celebrities including Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Gulzar, who cast their votes across Mumbai and other Maharashtra cities. Many stars urged citizens to vote responsibly to address civic issues like pollution and infrastructure. While voter turnout was moderate, some prominent actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan were absent. Polling covered 29 municipal corporations with over 3.48 crore voters eligible, and counting is scheduled for January 16.
