Kerala CM Appeals to PM Modi for Assistance in Repatriating Stranded Indians from Gulf

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in facilitating the return of Indians stranded in Gulf countries amid the ongoing West Asia conflict. In a letter dated March 5, Vijayan highlighted the shortage of flights and inflated ticket prices, requesting the government to engage with airlines to resume services and regulate fares. He also proposed a centralized registration system to prioritize vulnerable returnees and called for coordination with state governments to support arrivals.
