Rahul Gandhi has accused the government of pursuing a failed economic policy that favors monopolies while burdening small and medium traders with flawed policies like the Goods and Services Tax (GST). Meeting with representatives of the Vaishya community, Gandhi stated that these policies are a direct assault on production and employment, weakening traditional business networks. Trader representatives echoed these concerns, describing GST implementation as a burden and citing issues like the inverted duty structure as detrimental to small producers, benefiting larger corporations instead.
