Himachal Pradesh Disburses Over Rs 17 Crore for Ex-Servicemen Welfare

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced that over Rs 17 crore has been disbursed to 2,263 ex-servicemen, gallantry award winners, and families of martyrs under various welfare schemes this financial year. The funds include Rs 6.12 crore for 968 elderly pensioners, Rs 3 crore honorariums for 1,084 gallantry awardees, and Rs 7.62 crore to 57 dependents of fallen or disabled soldiers. Additionally, Rs 20.83 lakh was given to 154 war Jagir beneficiaries. A budget of Rs 2.28 crore has been allocated for army recruitment rallies to encourage youth participation in the armed forces.
