Nand Kishore Yadav Sworn In as 23rd Governor of Nagaland

Nand Kishore Yadav, a senior BJP leader and former Bihar Assembly Speaker, was sworn in as the 23rd Governor of Nagaland at a ceremony in Kohima, administered by Gauhati High Court Chief Justice Ashutosh Kumar. Attended by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and other officials, Yadav praised Nagaland's cultural heritage and community resilience. He highlighted recent development efforts in connectivity and infrastructure, emphasizing peace and inclusive growth as key to the state's progress. Yadav succeeds Ajay Kumar Bhalla, who held additional charge since August 2023.
